7th (9/28 - 10/2)

Dear Parents and Families, Here's the overview of upcoming week. Hope you have a restful weekend!  What's Happening Next Week? F or Literature and Composition, scholars will be reading and discussing   The Raven   and   The Tell Tale Heart   by Edgar Allen Poe. We will be having an assessment on the first 8 chapters of our Grammar book,   Well Ordered language. For  Science class this week, scholars will be learning about photosynthesis! Scholars will also take a closer look at moss and its unique adaptations. On Friday, scholars will complete a nature journal entry on leaves.  For mathematics, we will be continuing with the chapter on Rational Numbers. We will learn about positive and Negative fractions and different ways to operate with them. In History class, scholars will be studying events that led to the Texians struggle for independence and learn about the fall of the Alamo. Also, don't forget to check out the Specials blog .

7th (9/21 - 9/25)

  Welcome back all those scholars who are returning to campus. We are excited to have you back in the classroom! To those who will be continuing distance learning, there might be a slight change in schedule. Please check your email and google classroom for more information on this. -Your 7th Grade Teachers What's Happening this week? For 7A Literature and Composition  this week, we will be reciting the poem 'Pied Beauty' as a class and writing an in class assessment on The Call of The Wild.  For Distance learners, the zoom for Literature/composition will be held on Monday and Wednesday.  In History class, we will study how the Mexican government's actions in Texas caused discontent and unrest among Texas settlers from the United States. For Mathematics, scholars will be reviewing questions from the quiz and previous chapters at the beginning of this week. Then, scholars will learn about Negative Numbers as exponents. After this chapter, we'll begin a brand new chapt

7th grade (9/14 - 9/18)

Dear families and parents,  We have successfully completed another week! Thank you for your hard work and encouragement. As we navigate the Brick and Mortar & Distance learning in near future, we are excited for all the work ahead of us. We'll continue to keep in touch and make sure your kids are growing and learning every single day. What's Happening Next Week? In Mathematics this week, scholars will continue learning about positive and negative number. We'll learn to add, subtract, multiply, and divide positive and negative numbers. Moreover, we will work with negative exponents. Scholars are encouraged to attend open hours with questions they don't understand. However, open hours are not mandatory and do not contribute to their grades in any way whatsoever. For literature, 7A  scholars will be discussing the last two chapters of the Call of The Wild in seminars. Scholars will continue memorizing the poem Pied Beauty. 7th grade (September 9/7 - 9/11)

  Dear parents, we hope this long weekend brings us all back with renewed enthusiasm for learning. We should tell you that there are no Zoom sessions for Tuesday this week. For Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, there will be zooms for Literature/Composition and Mathematics. Below is the short overview of what we'll be doing next week.                                                                                    What's Happening Next Week? This week in Science, scholars will learn about three different types of symbiotic relationships as well as examples for each type of relationship. On Wednesday, scholars will begin to study the Kingdom Fungi. In order to help scholars understand the impact fungi has on our lives, they will read about the discovery of penicillin on Friday. In Literature this week we will be reading and discussing chapter 5 of Call of the Wild. For Mathematics, we will learning to simplify expressions using parentheses and brackets. We will learn the use of
