7th (10/26 - 10/30)

Dear parents and families,

We made it through Quarter 1! Updates to distance learning will be sent out in an email in the next few days. Scholars returning to campus will need to bring all of their school materials with them.

7A Scholar of the Month: Madison Mendez!
7B Scholar of the Month: Eric Cantu!

Madison always shows up on time to zoom ready to participate. She is responsibly about turning in assignments on time and contributes to class discussions.

What's Happening Next Week?

For Mathematics, scholars will start the Unit on Equations and Inequalities. We'll be going through ways of finding equivalent equations and solving problems from the textbook.

In Science, scholars will be learning more about our next and final plant group, angiosperms. Scholars will learn about the parts of a flower, the diversity of angiosperms, as well as why angiosperms are so important to our environment.

In Literature and Composition, we will be finishing our unit on Edgar Allen Poe short stories next week after we read and discuss The Black Cat.
The next book we will be reading is Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury.

For History, we will be learning about the challenges that Texas faced as a newly independent nation.

Also, don't forget to check out the special's blog.
