What's Happening Next Week?
 
History: We will review for a Unit Test on Byzantium, Islam, and Charlemagne.
 
Literature/Composition: Scholars will finish Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare and discuss the end of the play.
 
Grammar/Writing: Scholars will work on STAAR Reading Practice Questions and then read and analyze Shakespeare’s Sonnet 18.
 
Mathematics: Scholars will learn to calculate volumes of solids such as prisms, cylinders, and pyramids. They will also learn to find the surface area of these three-dimensional geometrical objects. 
 
Science: This week scholars will begin to look at Phylum Chordata and the various classes found there. We will discuss fish species first.
