What's Happening Next Week?

 

History: We will be studying the Great Schism and the Investiture controversy in the Medieval Church.

Literature/Composition: There will be practice STAAR tests during Lit/Comp on Tuesday and Wednesday. We will also continue to read and discuss The Pearl.

Grammar/Writing: We will continue Week 23 in Writing where scholars will work on recreating another author’s intent using an outline. In Grammar, we will start Ch. 3: Reflexive Pronouns.

Mathematics: We will be reviewing previous chapters for the rest of the year. Next week we will review linear equations, equations and inequalities, converting measurements, and total and lateral surface areas. Students will solve difficult questions from these chapters. After, they will review each question as a group. 

Science: Scholars will continue to learn about reptiles. This week we will focus on reptiles that are common to Texas. There will be a test on Thursday.

We will have a Grammar quiz over Ch. 2 on Thursday.
